I am surprised that no one complained about not being to open the folders before this---now that I have actually tried to use "iContraption" myself (rather than ResEdit)! Unlike ResEdit which allows one to open the icl8 and copy the PICT image and then Paste (using the "Get Info Box" in system 7.0), iContraption requires that a ICN also be included in order to open the file. So-o-o-o-o, I guess I have lied to 500 or 600 hundred people about being able to use the format I uploaded (of only the icl8 with no ICN attached) with iContraption. All I can say is I am truly sorry if this has caused a grunch of people major problems. Being used to using ResEdit, I only gave the iContraption utility a quick review and verified that it would open ResEdit files---I did NOT read it throughly enough to realize that the ResEdit file had to have BOTH the ICN and a icl8 for iContraption to open the ResEdit file! The attached file "Steve's Folders-iContraption" contains the complete collection of 115 folders in the iContraption format (including the ICN). THIS format can be opened with EITHER iContraption or ResEdit. Again, I am really sorry if this has been a major inconvenience for any of AOL members. Thank you for bringing the problem to my attention.
